Billericay fireworks 2026: Saturday 7 November at Lake Meadows, gates 5pm, display 7.30pm, tickets on sale now. Basildon's own display is Friday 6 November.
Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. In the Basildon borough the big displays land on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after it. As at 30 September all three of the borough’s main displays are confirmed and on sale: Basildon on Friday 6 November, Billericay on Saturday 7 November, and Barleylands across four nights from 5 to 8 November.

Billericay Fireworks, Lake Meadows: Saturday 7 November
The borough’s biggest display is run by Billericay Round Table at Lake Meadows, Billericay. When we first wrote this page on 4 September the organisers’ site said only that tickets would go on sale towards the end of September. They now have: billericayfireworks.co.uk has become the Ticket Tailor box office for the 55th Billericay Fireworks, Saturday 7 November 2026, 5pm to 8.45pm, Lake Meadows CM12 0DT.
Billericay fireworks 2026: running order, tickets and road closure
The 2026 theme is “Lake Meadows Got Talent”, a singing competition on the main stage. The organisers’ running order, all times approximate:
- 5.00pm gates open, DJ set starts
- 5.40pm Radio Essex entertainment on the main stage, with the singing acts
- 6.15pm torchlight procession
- 6.30pm bonfire lit
- 7.00pm crowd karaoke
- 7.30pm fireworks display starts
- 7.50pm display ends, DJ restarts
- 8.30pm DJ finishes
- 8.45pm park closed
Tickets are online only, but you can buy them on the night. The organisers’ FAQ says sales run “right up until 7.30pm on the date of fireworks through our website”, with a limited number this year. The box office lists staged prices: an early bird tier at £9 adult and £7 under-13, then general admission tiers rising in 50p steps to £11.50 and £9.50, and a £12 “Fireworks Entry” ticket. Under-3s go free. Which tier is live when you buy depends on how many have sold, so buying early is cheaper.
Road closure: Radford Way and Radford Crescent close to all vehicles from 6.30pm to 9pm, with no movement allowed in or out, so if you park on those streets you are there until 9pm.
No Blue Badge parking this year, the organisers say, because of the road closures and site layout. Bags will be searched at the gate, and you cannot bring your own alcohol, sparklers or fireworks. The display goes ahead in rain, only exceptionally high winds stop it, and refunds end seven days before the event. Attendance is put at around 14,000.
Anyone 16 or over can enter the singing competition by emailing a 60-second video to the address on the ticket page by 11.59pm on Friday 24 October; finalists perform between 5.30pm and 7pm on the night.
How the 2025 night ran
The 54th event, themed “Movies and Musicals”, was held on Saturday 8 November 2025, and the running order published on the same site was:
- 5.00pm gates open
- 5.40pm Radio Essex entertainment on the main stage
- 6.15pm torchlight procession
- 6.30pm bonfire lit
- 7.15pm Round Table chairman’s address
- 7.30pm main fireworks display
- 7.50pm display ends, DJ starts
- 8.30pm finish
All of those were described as approximate. The organisers put attendance at around 15,000 people from across Essex.
Parking at Lake Meadows
Do not plan on parking near the park. The 2025 event page answered its own “How?” question with “Parking in and around Billericay and arrive by foot”, and billericayessex.co.uk is blunter: parking around Lake Meadows is “very limited” and it recommends the train, car shares or walking. Billericay station is on the Greater Anglia Liverpool Street to Southend line, about ten minutes’ walk from the High Street.
Basildon Council’s car parks in Billericay have been free at weekends since April 2026, which does help on a Saturday night, though they fill early on event days. Our parking in Basildon page has the current tariffs and which car parks are council-run.
Barleylands Family Fireworks: four nights, 5 to 8 November
Barleylands, on Barleylands Road, Billericay CM11 2UD, runs a low-bang display across four consecutive nights. Its 2026 event page gives the dates as 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th November, gates “from 4.30pm”, and “6:30pm low bang fireworks hosted by Skittleman”.
This is the option for younger children, and it is the one most likely to sell out quietly. The page states: “A ticket is required for this event, no walk-ins will be accepted.” Admission covers the pre-firework party, magic shows, fairground rides and the farm park’s animal activities.
Basildon Round Table fireworks: Friday 6 November
The Basildon Round Table Charity Fireworks Spectacular at Basildon Sporting Village, Cranes Farm Road SS14 3GR, is the town’s display, and it is now on sale for Friday 6 November 2026. That breaks the group’s habit of a Sunday.
From the Round Table’s Ticket Tailor listing, checked 30 September 2026:
- Gates open 5pm, fireworks start 8pm, and all gates close at 7.30pm. Arrive after 7.30pm and you will not get in.
- General admission £9, bought online on or before 6 November. The listing also carries a £6 early bird ticket. Aged 2 and under go free but still need a free ticket.
- Advance tickets only: “NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY”. No refunds, as it is a charity event.
- Catering, a funfair and DJ Mat, with what the organisers call over £13,000 worth of fireworks.
The group’s own website, basildonroundtable.com, sits behind a bot challenge, so the box office is the one readable first-party channel. On 4 September it was still showing “No events currently listed”.
How the 2025 display ran
The 2025 event was also advance tickets only. Gates opened at 4pm on Sunday 2 November 2025 and the display started at 6.30pm, with general admission at £9 online and under-2s free on a free ticket, according to the listing on Essex Tourist Guide.
Earlier years were Sundays too: Gateway 97.8 carried “Sunday 5th November” for one year and “Sunday 3rd November” for the next, both at Basildon Sporting Village. So if you have Sunday in your head from past years, 2026 is the Friday.
Wickford
The Rotary Club of Wickford ran a fireworks display in Memorial Park for years, starting at 6pm with BBC Essex on the microphone. Its current site carries no 2026 event: the only fireworks page on the club’s own site is a statement about a display in 2014, and none of the featured items on the homepage mentions November. If a Wickford display is announced we will add it here.
The council’s town centre fireworks
Basildon Council does not organise a bonfire night display, but it does put fireworks over the town centre in mid-November as the finale to its Christmas launch. In 2025 that was a Firework Extravaganza at 6pm on Saturday 15 November, free, at the end of a day of markets and live music. The 2026 equivalent has not been announced. Getting there and back
None of these displays publishes a road closure. Barleylands sits on a country road off the A129 and empties into it all at once; Lake Meadows empties into Billericay High Street on foot.
